Comprehensive Mental Health Support Services
At Lelash Foundation Inc, we are committed to providing accessible, professional mental health support services to individuals and families in need. Our comprehensive programs are designed to address a wide range of mental health challenges through evidence-based approaches and compassionate care.
Individual Counseling Services
Our individual counseling services provide a safe, confidential space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a licensed mental health professional. We understand that seeking help is a courageous step, and our counselors are trained to create an environment of trust, respect, and non-judgment.
Each counseling session is tailored to your unique needs and circumstances. Our licensed professionals specialize in various therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and person-centered therapy. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, or life transitions, our counselors work collaboratively with you to develop personalized treatment plans that align with your goals and values.
Sessions typically last 50-60 minutes and can be scheduled weekly, bi-weekly, or as recommended by your counselor. We offer flexible scheduling options, including evening and weekend appointments, to accommodate diverse work and family commitments. Our counselors maintain strict confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations and professional ethical guidelines, ensuring your privacy is protected throughout your therapeutic journey.
Individual counseling addresses a wide spectrum of mental health concerns, including but not limited to stress management, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, anger management, addiction recovery support, and coping with chronic illness. Our holistic approach considers all aspects of your well-being—emotional, psychological, social, and physical—to support comprehensive healing and personal growth.
Group Therapy Sessions
Group therapy offers a unique and powerful healing experience through shared connection and mutual support. Our professionally facilitated group sessions bring together individuals facing similar challenges, creating a community of understanding and encouragement. Research consistently demonstrates that group therapy can be as effective as individual counseling for many mental health conditions, with the added benefit of reducing feelings of isolation and building social support networks.
We offer specialized group therapy programs addressing various topics and populations. Our current groups include anxiety and stress management, depression support, trauma recovery, grief and bereavement, substance abuse recovery, women's wellness, men's mental health, LGBTQ+ support, and young adult transitions. Each group is led by licensed mental health professionals with specialized training in group facilitation and the specific focus area.
Group sessions typically run for 90 minutes and meet weekly for a predetermined number of weeks, usually ranging from 8 to 12 sessions. Some groups operate on an ongoing, open-enrollment basis, while others are closed groups that begin and end together. Group size is intentionally kept small, typically 6-10 participants, to ensure everyone has adequate opportunity to share and receive support while maintaining a sense of intimacy and safety.
Participation in group therapy provides numerous benefits beyond symptom reduction. Members develop enhanced communication skills, learn from others' experiences and coping strategies, practice interpersonal skills in a safe environment, receive diverse perspectives on their challenges, and build lasting connections with others who truly understand their struggles. Our facilitators create structured yet flexible sessions that balance psychoeducation, skill-building exercises, and open discussion, ensuring each session is both informative and therapeutically valuable.
Crisis Intervention Services
Mental health crises can occur unexpectedly and require immediate, specialized support. Our crisis intervention services are designed to provide rapid response and stabilization for individuals experiencing acute mental health emergencies. We recognize that crisis situations demand immediate attention, compassionate care, and expert assessment to ensure safety and begin the path toward recovery.
Our crisis intervention team consists of licensed mental health professionals trained in crisis assessment, de-escalation techniques, safety planning, and emergency mental health protocols. We provide immediate telephone support through our crisis hotline, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When you call our crisis line, you will speak directly with a trained crisis counselor who can assess your situation, provide emotional support, discuss coping strategies, and help you access appropriate resources or emergency services if needed.
Crisis intervention services address various emergency situations, including suicidal thoughts or behaviors, severe anxiety or panic attacks, acute psychotic episodes, domestic violence situations, substance abuse emergencies, and overwhelming emotional distress. Our counselors conduct thorough risk assessments, develop immediate safety plans, provide crisis counseling, coordinate with emergency services when necessary, and arrange follow-up care to ensure continuity of support beyond the immediate crisis.
Following crisis stabilization, our team works with you to develop a comprehensive safety plan and connect you with ongoing mental health services. We collaborate with local hospitals, emergency departments, law enforcement, and other community resources to ensure coordinated care. Our goal is not only to address the immediate crisis but also to establish a support system that prevents future crises and promotes long-term mental health stability and wellness.
Professional Partnerships and Qualifications
All mental health services provided by Lelash Foundation Inc are delivered by licensed professionals who meet rigorous educational, training, and credentialing requirements. Our team includes licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs), licensed professional counselors (LPCs), licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFTs), and licensed psychologists, all of whom maintain active licenses in good standing and participate in ongoing continuing education to stay current with best practices in mental health care.
We are proud to partner with certified mental health organizations that share our commitment to excellence, ethical practice, and client-centered care. These partnerships enable us to expand our service capacity, access specialized expertise, and ensure our programs meet the highest professional standards. Our organizational partners include accredited mental health agencies, university counseling centers, community mental health providers, and national mental health advocacy organizations.
Through these collaborative relationships, we participate in quality assurance programs, peer consultation networks, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Our professionals engage in regular clinical supervision, case consultation, and professional development activities to enhance their skills and ensure the highest quality of care. We adhere to the ethical codes and practice standards established by professional organizations such as the American Psychological Association, National Association of Social Workers, and American Counseling Association.
Our commitment to professional excellence extends to our organizational practices as well. We maintain comprehensive liability insurance, implement robust privacy and security protocols, conduct regular program evaluations, and seek client feedback to continuously improve our services. These partnerships and professional standards ensure that when you access our mental health services, you receive care that is safe, effective, ethical, and aligned with current best practices in the field.
Eligibility Requirements and Access
We believe that mental health support should be accessible to all individuals who need it, regardless of their background or circumstances. Our services are available to adults aged 18 and older, adolescents aged 13-17 (with parental consent), and families seeking support together. We welcome individuals from all cultural, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds, and we are committed to providing culturally responsive care that respects and honors diversity.
To access our services, individuals can begin by contacting our intake coordinator through phone or email. During the initial intake process, we conduct a brief screening to understand your needs, discuss available services, and determine the most appropriate level of care. This conversation is confidential and designed to be welcoming and non-judgmental. We recognize that reaching out for help can feel difficult, and our intake staff are trained to make this process as comfortable and straightforward as possible.
While we strive to serve as many people as possible, certain eligibility criteria may apply to specific programs. For example, some group therapy sessions may have age restrictions or require participants to be at a certain stage of recovery. Our crisis intervention services are available to anyone experiencing a mental health emergency, with no eligibility restrictions. Individual counseling services are generally available to all who seek them, though wait times may vary depending on counselor availability and specialization needs.
We accept various forms of payment, including private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and sliding-scale fees based on income for those without insurance coverage. Our financial counselors work with clients to explore all available payment options and ensure that cost is not a barrier to receiving needed mental health support. We also offer limited scholarship opportunities for individuals facing significant financial hardship. No one is turned away due to inability to pay, and we work collaboratively with each person to find a sustainable financial arrangement.
Scheduling Appointments and Contact Information
Scheduling an appointment with Lelash Foundation Inc is a straightforward process designed to get you connected with the right support as quickly as possible. Our intake and scheduling team is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and we offer limited Saturday hours for initial consultations. You can reach us by phone at (555) 847-2193 or via email at mentalhealth@lelashfoundation.org.
When you contact us to schedule an appointment, please be prepared to provide basic information including your name, contact information, preferred appointment times, and a brief description of what brings you to seek services. This information helps us match you with the most appropriate counselor or program. If you have insurance, having your insurance information available during the initial call can help expedite the process, though it is not required to schedule your first appointment.
For crisis situations requiring immediate support, please call our 24/7 crisis hotline at (555) 847-HELP (4357). This line is staffed around the clock by trained crisis counselors who can provide immediate assistance, safety planning, and referrals to emergency services if needed. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.
Our main office is located at 2847 Wellness Boulevard, Suite 300, Springfield, IL 62704. We offer both in-person and telehealth appointments to accommodate different preferences and needs. Telehealth sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform that protects your privacy and confidentiality. Many clients find telehealth convenient as it eliminates travel time and allows them to receive services from the comfort of their own home.
We understand that life circumstances can change, and we maintain a flexible cancellation policy. We ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows us to offer that time slot to another client in need. Our scheduling team will work with you to find alternative appointment times that fit your schedule, and we make every effort to minimize wait times between your initial contact and your first appointment.
